I’m back with my favorite things of the month!! (I sound like Oprah!)
I really do love sharing my favorite things of the month, because I love hearing what you guys are loving in the month, and it helps me when I am purchasing more things, and it also helps me know what else is out there. So thank you to everyone who provides feedback under my blog posts on their favorite things!
No need for me to drag this on, let’s get right to it!
1.Packing Cubes
The ENTIRE month of August I have not stayed in the house for the weekend. I’m either traveling to DC, going to High Point to celebrate Paris‘s Wedding, or countless back and forth trips to the country to see my family. 2. Soapbox Soaps Lightweight Hair Oil
When I first worked with Soapbox Soaps, I was really curious on their light weight hair oil line. So when they asked me to test out their product (which was exclusively sold at Sallys Beauty), I was all for it. I currently use the Jojoba Light Weight Hair Oil, and it works WONDERS. It is in a spray bottle, so it is very easy for me to unravel my twistouts, and not have oil splattered everywhere. You can find this oil at Sally’s for 11.99.
3. Dermologica vs Urban Skin RX
If any of you watch my Instagram stories, I had a recent vulnerable moment where I discussed my struggle with adult/hormonal acne. To me, my acne is awful- but I could also be exaggerating. I’m currently using Urban Skin RX Cleansing Bar treatment at night, and the Dermologica Special Cleanser in the morning. So far so good, I haven’t had any new breakouts, and my dark spots seem to lighten up. I’m not going to get my hopes up too high, so I’ll have an update in September on how these products are working. I am also cutting sugar out of my diet (yup, that means I am so no to my vanilla bean cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory) I just want to make sure that my breakouts are not diet related. 4. Mielle Organics Pomegranate and Honey Twisting Soufle
I never thought I would find someone to replace my Camille Rose Almond Jai (and I still hold that close to my heart!), but BAYBEEE this twisting soufle is SO bomb! I always shamelessly plug Eiffel Curls in my posts (because we are both creatives AND she’s an awesome friend + youtuber) but she has a full youtube tutorial on how to pair this product with the Pom + Honey leave in, for an effortless twist out EVERY SINGLE TIME.
