It is Summer time….at least I think it is?
If you have been following my Instagram stories, you know I am not shy when it comes to my mid-20s skin problems. For starters, I thought acne was over in college. Nope, I have a new wave of acne currently, and I don’t know where it is coming from. Now I am watching what I eat, and making sure that I am maintaining a regular exercise routine. But is that really enough?
Not only is tackling my active acne a big feat, but I also have to tackle my brown spots that come with it. Trust me, no one has time for that. I’ve seen the dermatologist, and I’ve done the research…sometimes you just have to take things into your own hands.
One thing that I have realized that was a MAJOR help to my dark spots from post acne, is SPF! I am currently using Clique’s Prepstart that includes SPF 50. I put this on every single day, even if I’m staying in the house. I take no chances. This SPF leaves no grey residue, and also blends perfectly with whatever moisturizer you love. I have linked all of my favorite products down below. I am a baby skin care hoarder, but I can see how this can become an obsessive (and expensive) hobby. I have seen extensive skin care cabinets, and used to wonder- when would you use all of these products.
Now I get it…
One other purchase (that was relatively cheap) that I felt keep my skin always healthy. Aztec Healing Clay Mask. OMG, now this product is the truth. Twice a month, I take a tablespoon of Aztec Clay, 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of Water. Boom- a fast mask! I’ve tried the mask with just water, and it doesn’t work out as well as you would think. It is super clumpy, and is not a good time. (You can also use this mask to revive your curls…but you didn’t hear that from me.)
